Main Purpose: Reporting to the Regional Head of Responsible Sourcing (Africa), the Responsible Sourcing Specialist will support in the implementation of Trafigura’s responsible sourcing programme in Africa (with a focus on the DRC) in alignment with ESG Policies, strategies, goals, customer requirements & commercial drivers. Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities At least three years of experience undertaking ESG site-based assessments or audits based on international standards such as: the OECD Due Diligence Guidelines for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals, the Joint Due Diligence Standard and the Responsible Minerals Initiative Experience in implementing capacity building initiatives for organizations and teams to improve ESG performance. Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills. Fluency in English and Mandarin is required. French is an added advantage. Ability to build strong relationships at all levels and influence audiences both internally and externally. Good research and analytical skills. Pro-active, energetic, and tenacious individual. Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team and in a multi-cultural environment. Willingness to travel extensively within Africa (30%). Training in mining engineering, environmental management or related fields is an added advantage Key Responsibilities: Manage comprehensive supplier assessments, monitoring, and capacity building of counterparties in the DRC Support broader Africa due diligence initiatives, assessments, and capacity building requirements as needed Support the implementation of Trafigura's Responsible Sourcing Due Diligence and Capacity Building framework across African operations, ensuring methodological consistency with global standards Participate in cross-functional collaboration to execute Trafigura’s responsible sourcing strategy in alignment with ESG policies, corporate objectives, customer requirements, and commercial imperatives Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with internal stakeholders (Commercial department) and external partners (suppliers, NGOs, consultants) Represent and advocate for Trafigura's Responsible Sourcing Programme across stakeholder networks Develop and track key performance indicators to measure effectiveness of responsible sourcing initiatives Maintain accurate documentation within Trafigura's information systems (including but not limited to Origin) Contribute to external reporting in compliance with regulatory frameworks and commercial obligations Identify and implement industry best practices to drive program advancement Develop subject matter expertise to support organizational knowledge growth Perform other duties as business needs arise Key Relationships and Department Overview: Support Trade Internal external
