Prior to submitting your application, please review and update (if necessary) the information in your candidate profile as it will transfer to your application.  Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Lead Tech $15,000 Signing Bonus - Research Department: University Hospital | Nuclear Medicine Lab Scope/Position Summary The Lead Nuclear Medicine Theragnostic Lead position performs all duties of the Nuclear Medicine/PET Technologist in addition to coordinating daily workflow, streamlined coordination of research trials , daily assignments, patient flow, and provides support to the operations of the department. The lead provides all quality assessment activities for the imaging site in addition to the maintenance of accreditation preparedness for the site, under the direction of the Nuclear Medicine Manager. The lead will provide assistance in assessing technologists’ performance for annual merit increases as well as orient new staff to the department.  The Lead will be responsible for the accuracy of appropriate coding of procedures performed in the department. The lead may cover additional Imaging Supervisor/Manager responsibilities as necessary in the Supervisor/Managers’ absence or should a vacancy occur. The Nuclear Medicine tech performs nuclear medicine In vivo and In vitro procedures using sophisticated radiation-detecting instrumentation (including SPECT and PET), accomplishes computer processing and image enhancement, participates in clinical and non-clinical research, and provides images, data analysis, and patient information to the physician for diagnostic and therapeutic interpretation under the direction of the Nuclear Medicine Radiologists, Nuclear Medicine/PET Imaging Supervisor, and Imaging Services Leadership. Minimum Qualifications For Hire: Certification and active registration in Nuclear Medicine Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) and/or the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) required. Licensure in Radiologic Technology (Nuclear Medicine) by the State of Ohio Department of Health required. Graduate of accredited Nuclear Medicine program required. Minimum Associates Degree in relevant field of study required. Minimum 2 years’ experience as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
