Prior to submitting your application, please review and update (if necessary) the information in your candidate profile as it will transfer to your application.  Job Title: Research Technician 2 Department: Arts and Sciences | Molecular Genetics Administration The Research Technician will assist in experiments involving yeast genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, microscopy, and image processing and analysis. The Research Technician will also conduct routine lab maintenance, such as ordering lab supplies, preparing culture media and plates, and keeping clean sterilized glassware. This is a one (1) year term position with a possibility of renewal based on performance, laboratory needs, and availability of funding. Required: High School diploma or GED and o ne year of experience in Research Technician work (assisting experiments in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related area); or one year of full-time equivalent research experience in STEM areas during college education. Additional Information: The Department of Molecular Genetics, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Research Technician to join our team.
