Job Description: The Brown Annual Fund is seeking a Senior Reunion Giving Officer to join their Reunion Giving team.        The Senior Reunion Giving Officer   collaborate s   with leadership to set fundraising goals, recruit and develop   fundraising   volunteers, identify high-potential donors, help solicit major gifts, solicit leadership-level gifts, and foster meaningful alumni participation in support of Brown’s current-use giving priorities   in honor of the Reunion .        This position is responsible for engaging class officers, loyal donors, and   fundraising   volunteers by encouraging participation and fostering a culture of philanthropy across each class. The Senior Reunion Giving Officer   plan s   and execute s   class-based cultivation and recognition events to support a culture of engagement   among alumni   reunion classes. This role plays an important part in collaborating with other prospect managers on full-cycle solicitation strategies for   high-level   prospects in each class.        The successful candidate   flourish es   in a collaborative environment committed to supporting   current use giving to   the   Annual Fund through volunteer   engagement,   management, and   fundraising.   Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required Minimum 4 years of progressively responsible experience in development and fundraising or similar transferable experience required. Minimum 3 years of direct development or volunteer management experience required with progressive responsibility. Candidates must have direct experience soliciting 5 to 6-figure gifts. Experience in a higher education or non-profit setting is desirable. Some supervisory experience is preferred. Job Competencies Ability to identify, solicit, cultivate, and steward volunteers, donors, and/or prospects with the potential to give $1,000 to $1 million+. Strong organizational, time management, and planning skills with the ability to conceive, propose, execute, and evaluate short- and long-term plans that support the activities of the program and contribute to the overall goals of the Advancement Division. The ability to handle and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks is essential. Superior interpersonal skills with proven ability to collaborate and build positive rapport with varied constituencies professionally; clarity, professionalism, and diplomacy in written and oral communication skills; and comfort interacting with individuals of considerable social status and affluence. Proficiency with online and Windows software, such as or similar to Google Mail and calendaring, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database software. Ability to apply good judgment and responsible decision-making; tact and discretion are required to deal with highly confidential parent, student, family, donor, and prospect information. Must be a detail-oriented self-starter who is comfortable working independently as well as part of a close-knit team that values creativity, a sense of humor, energy, and positivity. Must demonstrate the core values of the Brown Development Office: integrity, excellence, collaboration, collegiality, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to personal growth. Must be willing and able to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.  Minimal travel is required, though opportunities for occasional travel may exist.
