Posted Job Title Research Specialist A/B Job Profile Title Research Specialist A Job Description Summary Conducts routine experiments and research activities to support project objectives, working under close supervision. Contributes to data collection, experiments, or studies; prepares materials and maintains research tools or resources. Helps manage project documentation and processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of deliverables. Job Description Job Responsibilities - Research Specialist A Drive a research project (collect, analyze and interpret data, and present data at group meetings) Handle controlled substances such as pharmaceutical, radiological or hazardous materials Manage zebrafish colonies Manage lab inventory and shared reagents For the Research Specialist B, added responsibilities to the above will include training junior/student lab members on lab procedures, maintaining inventory for lab supplies, and other duties as assigned by Principal Investigator (PI). Qualifications Bachelor of Science and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. For the Research Specialist B -Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. This position is contingent upon grant funding. Job Location - City, State Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Department / School Perelman School of Medicine Pay Range $44,500.00 - $57,335.40 Annual Rate Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job’s level.
