Commodity Manager, Global Sourcing Mechanics Location: Xiamen or Shenzhen, China Would you like to join a highly professional and agile team experiencing tremendous growth? GN China is currently on the lookout for a Commodity Manager to join our Global Sourcing team in Xiamen or Shenzhen, China. The primary responsibility for the position is to drive strategic sourcing and cost optimization for key mechanical and plastics commodities, in close collaboration with product development and suppliers. You will be part of a cohesive and supportive work culture, contributing to innovative projects that push the limits of technology within GN. You will get your hands on the following exciting tasks: Strategic Sourcing:  Lead and implement sourcing strategies for Plastics commodity and apply them in development projects, ensuring cost-effective and innovative solutions for audio and video products. Supplier Collaboration:  Function as the key commercial interface between product development teams and suppliers, challenging and collaborating with designers to optimize material choices and manufacturing processes. Cost Management:  Conduct mechanic should-cost reviews and drive actions to reduce total product costs, ensuring competitive pricing and quality. Supply Chain Optimization:  Develop a total cost and capacity-optimized inbound supply chain, ensuring trusted and flexible supply. Risk Management:  Perform risk mitigation and contingency planning to safeguard supply chain operations. Cross-Cultural Collaboration:  Work with international teams across Denmark, China, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the US, navigating time zones and cultural differences to achieve project goals. A commercially driven and collaboration-minded individual, we imagine the following sounds like you: Experience:  5-10 years in procurement, with a strong background in mechanics sourcing, preferably within consumer electronics. Education:  Commercial degree or degree in mechanical engineering. Skills:  Strong negotiation skills, project management expertise, and excellent communication abilities. Must be able to speak and write English effortlessly. Travel:  Flexibility to travel 20-30 days a year to collaborate with colleagues and suppliers globally.
