Legends Global Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center has an excellent and immediate opening for Steward / Dishwasher at Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center. Stewards are responsible to clean small wares, utensils, and kitchen supplies Keep area, equipment, and utensils clean and sanitary. Maintain safe and sanitary working conditions for kitchen personnel. Rate: $25 per hour Please note that Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center Food and Beverage employees are covered by a collective bargaining agreement with Unite Here Local 11, and a condition of employment is union membership. Responsibilities: Keep all dishes, small wares, and utensils cleaned. Organize and maintain proper inventory of small wares, utensils, and cleaning supplies and equipment, reordering when necessary. Clean and properly maintain working areas and equipment in kitchen. Organize and properly store perishables for cooks and receiving and issuing clerks. Follow all rules and regulations of SMG Food & Beverage. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor. Must be able to lift, move and carry at least 25 pounds. Must have a California Food Handler's Card/Certification. Must be able to work a flexible shift including nights, weekends, and overtime. Education and/or Experience Must be 18 to apply. Received High school diploma or GED; Must have current ServeSafe certification. Must have ability to take directions and effectively perform the work. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear.
