PRIMARY FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Catering Manager, is responsible for overseeing the planning, setup, execution, and breakdown of banquets, catered events, and special functions to provide guests with great service. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reports for scheduled events on time, in proper uniform, with a neat and clean personal appearance.  Must maintain a friendly, positive attitude and a professional demeanor at all times. Assist with the planning, organizing, and execution of all functions Coordinate the movement of equipment for all events Greet the event coordinator and respond to all requests Responsible for the inventory of equipment, small wares, disposables, and beverages Oversee general cleaning tasks using standard products as assigned in accordance with health and safety standards Attend all mandatory meetings Perform other duties as assigned by leadership Read roll call(s) prior to events to inform staff about event particulars and expectations Supervise Food and Beverage service and event room set-up and clean up Supervise house-persons and the stewarding team during the set-up and break-down of events Consistently liaise with Facilities, Catering, and Culinary for any last-minute changes Supervise general cleaning tasks in accordance with health and safety standards Performs and successfully completes tasks assigned by management. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Catering leadership experience preferred; additional orientation and role‑specific training will be provided to ensure operational readiness Must be able to work long periods of time with constant standing, walking, and lifting. Must be able to remain calm under stressful situations. Must be able to smile, maintain positive body language, and consistently provide positive guest service. Must be able to make generalizations, evaluations, and decisions without immediate supervision. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years old Must be able to obtain CA Food Handlers Certification Must be able to obtain RBS (alcohol) Certification Ability to work all Venue events including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to work at a fast pace Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions.  Able to perform normal lifting of stock, up to 50 lbs.
