These attitudes and beliefs shall guide our actions and relationships.  The Driver is responsible for transporting IRC staff, visitors, documents and/or goods/materials to designated destinations when officially approved and permitted within an operational area, country and/or other location. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The safe and efficient tr a nsp o rtation of IRC pe r sonnel and m a terials The care a n d m a intenance of IRC vehicles and their accessories The representation of IRC in a professional manner JOB REQUIREMENTS Demonstrated Skills and Competencies: Thoro u gh kn o w l e dge of ro a d rules and regulations Good knowledge of the operation and components of vehicles (incl. 4x4s and vehicles with manual gear) Safe driving skills Skills in routine vehicle maintenance Kn o w ledge ( o r a bility to quick l y learn) of HF, V H F and satellite co m munications equipment Team spirit and problem -solving abilities Able to car r y out limited, unsupervised tasks Drivers must displ a y an attitude a nd behavior that reflects w ell on b oth themselves and the Expect e d Del i v e rables Strict adherence to the IRC’s vehicle policies and procedures, including t he use of seatbelts b y all passenge r s. Daily and pre-lo n g distance vehic l e checks. Accurate upkeep of the vehicle’s log sheet. Maintaining the vehicle clean, fueled and mechanically sound. Inspecting and maintaining all vehicle accessories. Advising the Fleet manag e r of pending insp e c tions, insurance ren e w al o r a n y d efects or problems. Mini m um R eq ui reme n ts Valid driving lic e nse Minimum t w o y e ars’ work as a professional driver No road safe t y -r elated fines or convictions Spoken: Ukrainian, Russian, English is highly desirable Able to pass the IRC driving test Basic computer skills Standard of Professional Conduct: The IRC and the IRC workers must adhere to the values and principles outlined in the IRC Way – our Code of Conduct.
