This vacancy is open only for national Ukrainian candidates JOB OVERVIEW Under the supervision of the Women’s Protection and Empowerment Officer, the Women’s Protection and Empowerment Program Outreach Facilitator will play a crucial role in achieving the program’s goals by implementing targeted activities aimed at preventing gender-based violence (GBV) and empowering women. This role is key in developing consistent, gender-sensitive messaging effectively delivered to diverse audiences. Through outreach activities related to GBV, the Outreach Facilitator ensures that accessible and effective information is disseminated among various groups, including vulnerable populations, thereby strengthening the program’s relevance in protecting and empowering at-risk individuals in the Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Adhere to and actively promote a women- and girl-centered approach, as well as the guiding principles of gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response. Ensure the preparation, facilitation, and delivery of awareness-raising sessions on GBV for women and girls at risk and survivors of GBV, as well as healthcare workers, and disseminate critical information on available services for GBV survivors. Maintain reporting on qualitative and quantitative indicators, complete relevant registration and participant assessment forms, and prepare conclusions. Contribute to the development of gender-sensitive awareness messages and informational materials on available GBV services for the target audience. Organize and implement awareness campaigns aimed at increasing understanding of GBV, actively engaging affected communities, including internally displaced persons (IDPs) and other vulnerable groups. Monitor and evaluate the impact of outreach initiatives by collecting participant feedback to inform future campaigns and improve effectiveness, including feedback analysis from recipients to determine satisfaction levels and identify needs for enhancing outreach approaches. Participate in the collection, analysis, and submission of information on key protection risks faced by women and girls in communities, including service mapping, GBV risk assessments, and Safety Audits. Use this data to inform planning, improve and implement awareness activities, and contribute to IRC WPE program development overall. Conduct needs assessments for women and adolescent girls to ensure they receive dignity kits, analyze results, and organize distribution to GBV survivors or those at risk, while following a sensitive approach and ensuring a safe environment. Facilitate group sessions with participants using materials and approaches from the “Girls Shine” and “Women Rise” programs, adapted to the local context. When necessary, participate in crisis response, including providing life-saving and initial psychological support to women and girls affected by conflict-related emergencies, and support for evacuated populations at evacuation and transit hubs. Actively participate in internal and external training events, capacity-building sessions, and professional development activities focused on GBV prevention and response. Share acquired knowledge with the team to strengthen collective capacity. Participate in the preparation and delivery of events and training sessions aimed at increasing GBV awareness and enhancing the capacity of service providers in GBV prevention and response methods. Develop a cooperation network and maintain effective working relationships with service providers, stakeholders, partners, and relevant actors, including community members and GBV response entities. Coordinate key locations, formats, and channels for disseminating GBV-related information to maximize the impact of outreach and ensure accessibility for target groups. Contribute to the development of the GBV outreach action plan, including activities and an implementation schedule. Ensure proper, safe, and confidential referrals of GBV survivors. Prepare weekly and monthly activity and achievement reports in accordance with Program requirements. JOB REQUIREMENTS Language: Ukrainian required; English desirable Education: Higher education in social work, human rights, psychology, public health, humanities, or a related field Demonstrated experience in community engagement, mobilization, and work with women and girls affected by armed conflict Strong understanding and commitment to the well-being of women and girls, and support for their healing after experiences of violence Ability to respond to emergencies when needed and support the Women’s Protection team in providing assistance as required Experience in facilitating group activities, training sessions, workshops, and mentoring others Excellent communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect toward clients/beneficiaries Positive and professional attitude, including the ability to work productively in a team Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to work in a multitasking environment, manage pressure effectively, adapt to change, and demonstrate flexibility REPORTING STRUCTURE AND TEAM COLLABORATION Internal collaborations: Child Protection team; Protection Rule of Law team; Economic Recovery and Development team; Health team. External collaborations: GBV actors, organizations and agencies. Reporting structure: WPE Officer, WPE Manager, WPE Senior Manager. WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION This role requires full-time work in the office.
