Job Responsibilities: Job Overview The IT Industry 4.0 Lead Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying advanced digital manufacturing solutions that integrate automation, data analytics, and shop-floor systems. This role leads Industry 4.0 initiatives by building smart applications, implementing connectivity between machines and systems, and developing tools that enhance real-time data visibility, productivity, and decision-making across the plant. Roles And Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and implementation of Industry 4.0 applications, integrations, and smart factory solutions. Develop scalable software and automation tools using Python, .NET (C#, ASP.NET), and SQL . Build, configure, and maintain HMI/SCADA solutions using Ignition for real-time monitoring, data collection, and visualization. Develop and deploy PLC communication, data interfaces, and machine connectivity solutions aligned with Industry 4.0 standards. Implement and support MES/SCADA communication using OPC (Kepware, MQTT, etc.). Create and maintain advanced dashboards and analytics models using Power BI . Analyze existing business systems, manufacturing workflows, and data needs to recommend and implement innovative digital solutions. Integrate data from ERP/MRP, shop-floor systems, and automation equipment into unified reporting platforms. Present project updates, system capabilities, and technical information to leadership and cross-functional teams. Write, test, and maintain custom applications supporting production, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams. Support and mentor junior developers and act as a technical authority for Industry 4.0 development. Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement of digital manufacturing processes. Experience And Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Minimum 5+ years of development experience in a manufacturing, automation, or industrial IT environment. Strong proficiency with: Python , Ignition (SCADA/HMI) , .NET / C# / ASP.NET , Power BI (data modeling & DAX) , PLC programming & controls fundamentals Experience with SQL Server, database design, stored procedures, and backend development. Ability to design, code, test, debug, and deploy high-quality software solutions. Strong understanding of shop-floor processes, data collection, automation infrastructure, and manufacturing systems.
