The Job: As an Engineering Manager , you will lead cross-functional teams to design, develop and launch products that align with market demands and Stanley black and Decker’s strategy. This role requires a blend of technical leadership to transform ideas into successful commercial solutions. You'll Get To: Partnering with global product managers to identify technical solutions, plan resource and project timeline for new product development. Create and influence technical product strategy and roadmaps for assigned category or portfolio. Set target deliverables, review status, hold the team accountable and help remove roadblocks. Drive teams to deliver complex and/or multiple/concurrent projects of an increasing degree of technical complexity and challenges in order to meet business goals. Monitor and make recommendations on engineering resource planning for short and long-term projects. Identify ongoing training requirements, and ensure entire department fulfills expectations. Drive local talent development to include performance management, individual and team development, and high engagement across teams. Required Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated and recognized expertise in technical discipline or process in power tool field or similar industry Proven ability to professionally present information and translate technical knowledge to a variety of audiences. Proven leadership skills, with ability to motivate, empower and drive engagement. Experience successfully communicating with and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization both locally and globally Demonstrated business acumen including accounting, finance, business planning and risk management The Person: You love to learn and grow and be acknowledged for your valuable contributions.
