Group Summary: The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling. Job Responsibilities: Salary Range: $60,000-$90,000 Lead the end-to-end design process for custom ground support equipment, from concept through production. Create and maintain detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using SolidWorks. Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs), product documentation, and manufacturing instructions. Ensure designs meet performance, safety, regulatory, and customer requirements. Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, methodologies, and best practices to enhance productivity and efficiency. Champion innovation and technology advancement, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and customer specifications. Manage CAD material databases and templates. Perform engineering calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) studies to validate design projects and prepare reports as necessary. Collaborate closely with project management and sales teams to understand customer requirements and translate them into design solutions. Communicate effectively with senior management, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and key deliverables. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Post-secondary degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Strong written and verbal communication skills particularly in the area of report writing are required Attention to detail is key Organization and project management.
