The Role Stanley Black and Decker is seeking a Director, Advanced Methods and Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE).  In this role, you will be a strategic leader responsible for driving the vision, development, and execution of advanced methods and CAE initiatives across the organization. This role ensures the integration of advanced simulation, modeling, and analysis technologies to support product innovation, quality, and operational efficiency.  This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record and team leadership.  You’ll get to:      Lead the central Engineering CAE department, setting strategic direction and overseeing all simulation, modeling, and analysis activities. Collaborate with all global R&D centers, engineering, product development, and manufacturing teams to integrate CAE methodologies into the product lifecycle. Develop and implement best practices, standards, and processes for CAE across multiple business units. Explore, identify, evaluate and drive adoption of new CAE tools and methodologies to maintain competitive advantage with the latest cutting-edge technologies. Manage and mentor a team of CAE engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, and project prioritization within the CAE function. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Build partnerships with external vendors, academic institutions, national labs and technology providers. Present technical findings & strategic recommendations to executive leadership & stakeholders. You also have:   15+ years of experience in CAE, simulation, or related engineering disciplines, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Master’s or Ph.D. in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related field highly preferred . Proven track record of influencing and implementing CAE strategies in a complex, multidisciplinary environment. Experience with complex multi-domain based system modeling with Dymola or TwinBuilder or other Modelica based platforms. Experience with Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow for embedded system design and MIL/SIL/HIL a plus. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
