What you will gain Our Summer Internship Program, beginning in June 2026, provides immersive training and introduction to Santander. You will be combining this training with practical experience on both technical and interpersonal skills, helping your development during the internship. The 2026 Santander Summer Internship Program is for undergraduate students and/or graduate level students who have an expected graduation date between December 2026 and May/June 2027. Santander US is a nationwide business with locations across the country. This position is located in Boston, MA. The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location. Salary: Undergraduate student: $62,400/year Graduate student: $83,200/ year Before applying, please keep in mind that our internship program does not offer any relocation assistance. As a Risk Analytics intern, you will come out of this experience with an understanding of Risk Management within the Financial Services industry. The intern will interact with senior risk team personnel, business managers and other disciplines in order to understand business operations and dynamics, and analyze, monitor, and manage related risks. Activities will include quantitative analysis & communication across different functions. Represent or support the reputation of the company to minimize compliance and regulatory risk by resolving issues and ensuring adherence to company and legal standards. Responsibilities of the Risk Analytics internship role may include but are not limited to: Initiate change, integration, operationalization/automation of new events. Represent organization as a primary contact for specific risk management projects and initiatives. Executes ad hoc reporting to facilitate miscellaneous senior and executive management reporting and status updates as needed. Lead, support, and develop short-term projects for solvency processes. Support the further development of challenger loss forecasting processes. Assist in the production and review of Solvency and Credit related materials for various risk forums/committees. What we are looking for An undergraduate student/ graduate student an expected graduation date between either December 2026 or May/June 2027 . Area of Study: Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Risk Analytics, Economics or any related quantitative field Cumulative GPA is 3.0 or above . Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and courage. Strong English communication skills both written and spoken required. Analytical thinkers with a strong attention to detail. Organized and able to manage time and multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work independently on special projects. Ability to effectively contribute to a team environment. It would be nice to have Experience in Microsoft Office products. (Preferred) Experience in Python, SQL, SAS, or C++. (Preferred) Coursework in or exposure to accounting, finance, economics, or business.
