SCIB Associate, FIG DCM, Northern European Focus Country: United Kingdom Business area introduction We are expanding the team with two Associate level roles, providing focused coverage of France & Benelux and Nordic & DACH regions respectively. Key activities Support senior bankers with the client coverage of Financial Institution Group (FIG) issuers within the Debt Capital Markets (DCM) division of the Investment Bank and develop your own relationships with clients at the junior level. Continue to strengthen the bank’s existing institutional issuer relationships in the region (Northern Europe) whilst also expanding our scope of coverage and client base. Generating and marketing new issue trade ideas to the client base, in both public and private debt format. Lead the day-to-day execution of bond deals in the public debt markets (particular focus on EUR, USD & GBP), working closely with Bond Syndicate, Sales and Trading, Structured Solutions, our Global DCM and Syndicate partners, as well as internal and external counsel on transaction documentation. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as Capital Solutions, Liability Management and Debt Advisory (Ratings), on more strategic capital and balance sheet optimisation solutions for clients. Produce high-quality client materials, such as market updates, pitch presentations, email recommendations and transaction documentation. Support and upskill the analysts within the team, providing feedback and reviewing their materials. What we’re looking for Solid experience within Debt Capital Markets (preferably FIG focused). Prior experience covering / knowledge of the Northern European FIG space (any of DACH, France, BeNeLux, Nordics). Track record of executing transactions and owning both the internal & external processes involved. Understanding of capital markets, issuance mechanics, and investor dynamics. Knowledge of relevant FIG regulatory regimes. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Highly motivated, adaptable and a strong ability to work under pressure whilst ensuring the highest quality of output. London base, with the ability to travel across EMEA. Fluency in English required; additional languages (especially French, German, or Spanish) preferable. Educated to degree level.
