Support Manager to achieve divisional budget targets to maximize profitability and manage program spending. Achieve technical confidence to challenge current standards and progress division to the next level. Must support quality, safety, environmental and sustainability objectives.  Take every precaution reasonable to protect the health and safety of the workforce. Cultivate a work culture that focuses on continually improving upon all elements the Employee Opinion Survey Understanding & adherence to the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the intention of grievance avoidance Supports staffing, facility and equipment requirements related to department. Supports with the identification and implementation of corrective & preventive action for any non-conformance within their jurisdiction or for any non-compliance identified during customer / internal and / or external audit Provide formal and informal feedback to team members. Lead and participate in the continuous improvement, cost reduction and sustainability programs. Complies and upholds the expectations of internal standards, processes, and legislative requirements. Conduct in accordance with the Magna Charter, Magna Operating Principles and Corporate Ethics guidelines. Implements Magna Standards such as MMSA, MAFACT and GQS compliant systems where needed. Quality (IATF), Environmental (ISO 14001) and Information Security (TISAX) awareness and adherence Responsible for ensuring adherence to daily 5S activities and cleaning schedule. Work with other departments towards overall plant goals. Any other requests deemed reasonable by management. Duties and responsibilities - Job Specific This position is currently open. Provides counsel to employees on straight forward employee related issues pertaining to Magna’s Employee Charter and Employee Handbook, policy interpretation. Follow up on all employee(s) concern(s) in a timely manner. Maintain frequent contact with employees. Responsible for the Dayforce Time & Attendance Responsible for   progressive discipline administration Assists Human Resource Manager with Labour & Union Activates Liaise with Shared Services Center, as well as Corporate and Group offices Prepares reports as required as well as policy and procedure development and updates. Implement strategic HR programs and resolve day-to-day HR related issues Ensure goals and priorities are aligned with business needs As required participate in plant safety, health and environmental programs. Work closely with all departments throughout the organization Implement and identify business needs, and assist in planning and implementation of company employee relation programs and activities in various area such as: Employee Relations, Benefits, Labour Relations, Retirement Programs, Training and Development. Special projects as assigned. Qualifications Education : Degree in Human Resources or related field Characteristics : Must have strong customer focus and be able to effectively and quickly build relationships; Must be result focused/driven and have the ability to decipher information to develop concise and clear solutions and meet deadlines; Excellent communication skills needed to effectively correspond with all employees; The ability to interpret and apply company policies to related events is mandatory Technical : CHRP designation would be an asset; Proficient in using Microsoft Office, Dayforce, Workday, Outlook Confidentiality Confidentiality is critical for Magna, it’s Customers and Employees.  As a team member, each employee is responsible to: Protect sensitive information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
