Job Summary : The EHS Specialist is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs at the Engineering & Lab. This on-site role will ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements, while actively fostering a culture of EHS, maintaining a healthy work environment, and driving continuous improvement in EHS performance. Responsibilities and Duties: Facilitate and support incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action development and closure monitoring. Develop, implement, and maintain Engineering & Lab specific EHS programs —including, but not limited to, special equipment, li-battery management, chemical management, machinery safety, electrical safety, high risk operations etc., to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct process risk assessments, environment impact evaluation, and occupational health identification, demonstrating proficiency in evaluating risks and identifying effective risk reduction measures. Support activities for internal and external stakeholders, including internal compliance audits, external EHS agency interactions, customer requests, etc. Develop and maintain Engineering & Lab specific EHS obligation list and organize & perform regular EHS inspections to verify compliance and identify opportunities for improvement, including management change and JSA analysis in process of NPD. Monitor and fulfill compliance obligations by staying current with regulations, while ensuring EHS records are accurately documented, organized, and retained according to SBD and regulatory requirements.  Support EHS Committee meetings and foster employee engagement in safety, health and environmental initiatives. Report, monitor, and analyze EHS performance data to drive continuous improvement and inform decision-making, assist leader of Engineering & Lab to cascade KPI and tracking progress, collect and upload data onto EHS website, including energy, water, waste, carbon emissions, work hours, head count, safety incidents, etc. Facilitate EHS training programs for new hires and all employees to ensure understanding and adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements. Develop, implement, and maintain Engineering & Lab specific emergency preparedness plan and organize emergency drills related. Oversee the classification, collection, and disposal of waste from Engineering & Lab, especially hazardous waste. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Familiar with the basic concepts and processes of EHS management in multinational companies (e.g., lockup, change management, risk analysis, tool safety, machinery safety, chemical safety, radiation safety, electrical safety, lithium battery safety, personal protective equipment, emergency response, stakeholder management, and sustainable development) Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred. Fluent in English communication both written and spoken. Management skills in ISO14001&45001. Familiar with local safety and environmental standards and regulatory requirements Certified Safety Engineer certificate is preferred Skills and Competencies: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong understanding of EHS management system standards, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory compliance. Effective leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills to influence and drive a positive EHS culture at all organizational levels. Effective verbal and written communication abilities. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Working Conditions :        Must be able to stand/walk throughout the building approx. 50% of the day, and ability to climb stairs as needed.
