Group Summary: The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets. Job Responsibilities: Provide on-site IT support for shopfloor systems, including assembly and molding equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues to minimize production downtime. Perform basic SQL queries and updates for production-related databases. Install, configure, and maintain PCs, printers, and other shopfloor devices. Run, terminate, and test Ethernet cables to ensure reliable network connectivity. Provide remote support to other facilities or teams using secure remote tools. Document incidents, resolutions, and system changes in the IT ticketing system. Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security standards. Follow all plant safety protocols and IT equipment handling guidelines. Ensure proper cable management to prevent tripping hazards on the shopfloor. Adhere to company cybersecurity policies, including password management and access control. Ensure proper handling of sensitive data and maintain confidentiality at all times. Apply security patches and updates to systems promptly to reduce vulnerabilities. Monitor for unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity immediately. Support compliance with industry standards such as ISO 14001 and 45001 guidelines where applicable. Who we are looking for: CompTIA A+ Certification. 1–3 years of IT support experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Basic SQL knowledge for troubleshooting and data manipulation. Strong networking skills, including running and terminating Ethernet cables. Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Your preferred qualifications: Associate’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience in IT support. Knowledge of Active Directory and basic server administration.
