Job specifications – Controllership Associate This role is primarily to support the Controllership team with their monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting and other local statutory reporting obligations. Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process including reconciliation Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting including the preparation of statutory accounts (audits) Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting Support in the accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL, cash collection, cash management and capital expenditure Manage in/outsourced functions where appropriate Manage and comply with local reporting requirements and tax filings where applicable Create additional analyses and reports as requested by management Help with the planning and coordination of US GAAP and IFRS audit timetables, ensuring deadlines are met. Helping gather audit support, self-managing incoming requests/workload, answering audit questions which may require investigating, liaising with internal teams for support and explanations Participation in the preparation of the MENA VAT/CIT/WHT returns Ad hoc tasks or projects as required. Qualifications and experience 2+ years of experience, part to full qualification in ACA, ACCA, CIMA Strong technical experience in US GAAP and IFRS, prior audit experience preferred. Ability to work with large data sets.
