As a Senior Accountant specializing in financial reporting and technical accounting, you will play a vital role in delivering and overseeing complex accounting projects from design through implementation, working independently with limited supervision while partnering with key stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and adherence to accounting policies. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Apply accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare internal and external financial reports Maintain oversight of accounts and records, including disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income Compile, analyze, and verify financial data to ensure accurate recording of transactions and reporting Prepare and consolidate financial statements, including balance sheet, profit & loss, cash flow, and related schedules Design, implement, and maintain accounting systems to ensure proper recognition of financial transactions Ensure adherence to accounting and auditing policies, procedures, and internal controls, including communication and compliance Support month-end close, M&A accounting, and technical accounting activities, including research and implementation of new accounting standards Required Knowledge and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related 5+ years of relevant experience in a multinational environment, with strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision, solving complex and ambiguous problems and delivering effective solutions Experience leading or managing projects or processes, including planning, execution, delegation, and review of deliverables Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver in-depth analysis and recommend process or system improvements Fluent Italian and English skills, with excellent communication and influencing abilities when engaging senior internal and external stakeholders Physical Job Requirements The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.  Benefits & Compensation Medtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package A commitment to our employees lives at the core of our values.
