The Sales Director will be responsible for leading growth sales initiatives within the assigned region made up of District Managers, sales representative, and strategic sales. We are seeking a committed professional to join our team, required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. This will be a flexible role San Juan, Puerto Rico. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Plans, directs, and monitors the activities of a sales team within a specified region/district/geography to achieve established sales targets Develops and/or implements business strategies for existing and potential accounts Manages the day-to-day activities of a sales team to implement the organization's overall sales strategy for an assigned region/district/geography Develops and maintains strong relationships with all key account personnel and relevant functions to support selling, market development, service efforts and clinical programs Identifies opportunities and develops new programs to meet the organization's sales plans to increase market share Assesses need for the addition of new selling programs and processes, conducts competitive analysis, and implements strategies Coach sales representatives on the technical aspects of the organization's products and services; on marketing campaigns and sales promotions; and on sales techniques, procedures, and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets evaluates effectiveness of current programs Required Knowledge and Experience: Bachelor’s degree Ten years of experience in sales, business development and management and leadership knowledge to lead multiple job areas within a country, region or business Eight years of leadership experience Requires understanding of organizational context and comprehensive knowledge of the market sector and environment Previous experience in regional or multicultural roles, preferably in Latin America Experience working with medical device distributors Fluent in English Sales-oriented MS Office Suite knowledge Strategic vision Leadership through influence Effective communication Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team Master’s degree and/or Experience in the medical device, health technology, or related industries is a plus is advantageous Physical Job Requirements The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.  The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
