A Day in the Life The Process Development Engineer Intern will support the engineering team in designing, optimizing, and validating manufacturing and business processes within a dynamic medical device environment. This internship offers hands-on experience in Design for Reliability and Manufacturability, process development, and continuous improvement initiatives. Interns will gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies, methodologies, and Gemba activities, while developing skills in process design, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. The role also provides valuable networking opportunities and mentorship from experienced engineers and highly skilled subject matter experts. Internship details: •    Start date: March 2026 •    Location: Tolochenaz •    Duration: 6 months  •    Working hours: 40 hours per week •    Working model: on-site Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: •    Assist in developing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and safety •    Support process validation activities, including data collection, analysis, and documentation •    Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, production) to troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues •    Conduct experiments and tests to evaluate process changes and their impact •    Document procedures, findings, and recommendations in technical reports •    Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma etc.) Required Knowledge:  •    Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Materials, Mechanical, Chemical, Microtechnology, Biomedical) or related field •    Fluency in French and English, with strong verbal & written communication skills •    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills •    Ability to work independently and in a team environment Would be a plus: •    Familiarity with process mapping, statistical analysis, or engineering software    Physical Job Requirements The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.  Benefits & Compensation Medtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package A commitment to our employees lives at the core of our values.
