Part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will have to collaborate with scientists and other disciplines of engineering on a regular basis. This position requires autonomy, adaptability and a strong desire for innovation and problem-solving skills. Primary Duties and Responsibilities · Intern will provide support: o Measurements o Data analysis using Matlab o Review documentation o Research literature on leading edge topics o Write brief reports The Must Haves · Currently enrolled in electrical/physic engineering degree or physic degree · Knowledge of Matlab is a plus · Basic knowledge of optic theory and integrated optics · Basic knowledge of radio-frequency principles · Excellent teamwork and communication skills · Excellent mastery of French and/or English both written and oral Job Location Québec, Québec, Canada Position Type Intern for Winter 2026 Pay Range: The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00 Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business.
