How You Will Contribute: Monitor and manage the coordination, planning, and execution of customer projects, ensuring comprehensive documentation such as LLD, NDD, DCN designs, Link Diagrams, and ATP documents. Collaborate with Systems Engineers to understand Ciena solutions and convert High-Level Designs (HLD) into Low-Level Designs (LLD). Support Field Service Technicians and Site Leads to meet or exceed E, F & I Services objectives. Serve as the direct interface to customers for engineering design, including LLD, Network Design, IDP, DCN design, and sync design. Make impactful decisions on project scheduling, planning, and deliverable completion while escalating issues as needed. Act as the first point of escalation for Field Service Technicians and Partners, providing solutions to challenges within the scope of the Statement of Work (SOW). Collaborate with supporting groups to ensure all project-related deliverables and requirements are met, adhering to quality standards and technical documentation. Plan and engineer customer submarine network deployments.   The Must Haves: Basic knowledge and understanding of optical transmission systems (Submarine, Long Haul, Metro, DCI), control plane networks (L-0 and L-1), OTN & SDH, Ethernet technology, Network Management Systems, and DCN Networks planning. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical skills with a team-oriented mindset and effective communication abilities. Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with 2-4 years of experience. Proven experience in field service engineering, particularly with telecommunications or networking equipment. Proficiency in hardware installations and troubleshooting complex technical issues. Experience with Network Management Systems (NMS) and related tools. Ability to travel frequently to customer sites within India and potentially internationally, with occasional off-hours work based on project scope and requirements.   Nice to Haves: Hands-on experience in Submarine, DWDM/OTN links integration, commissioning, and acceptance testing. Expertise in troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Ability to manage customer teams for technical issues and explain root cause analysis. DCN Design and support activities. Experience in creating Methods of Procedure (MoPs) for critical migration activities. Familiarity with the Ciena Optical portfolio. #LI-MP2 Not ready to apply?
