You will be responsible for owning the deployment, scaling, and lifecycle management of Cloudera’s Next Gen Data Services on the underlying Kubernetes platform. As a Senior Product Manager…. Product Vision & Strategy : Define and evangelize the long-term vision and product strategy for the next gen Cloudera Data Services Platform, aligning it with the company's broader Cloudera strategic goals. Feature Specification : Translate high-level visions into product requirements documents (PRDs), user stories, and epics in Jira for Platform feature development. Define the "what" and "why" for the engineering team, emphasizing desired outcomes such as performance, scalability, security, reliability and usability. Roadmap Management : Develop and maintain a prioritized product roadmap. Make data-driven decisions on feature priorities, balancing customer needs, market trends, and technical debt. Market & Customer Insight : Conduct continuous market research to understand the competitive landscape and identify new opportunities. Serve as the primary conduit for customer feedback through direct engagements with field, customers and partners. Own the Kubernetes Roadmap : Direct the development of features for elasticity, cost optimization, and automated resource management across the hybrid cloud, ensuring cloud-native efficiency for the Cloudera’s Data Services. Go-to-Market & Enablement: Drive successful product launches by collaborating with Marketing, Sales, and Documentation teams. Create compelling messaging and enable both internal teams and customers. Business Ownership : Define and track KPIs for the Data Service Platform’s success, including adoption and revenue We are excited if you have… Education (Required): Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.     Experience : 5+ years of experience in product management, with significant hands-on experience in distributed data platform or cloud-native data services.   Technical Domain :  Deep knowledge of Kubernetes ecosystem Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure Experience managing containerized products delivered via Kubernetes Product Skills : Proven ability to write precise technical specifications (PRDs), build use cases/user stories, analyze customer patterns, and simplify complex technical solutions and manage product backlogs effectively Hybrid Cloud : Experience managing products deployed across both Public Cloud and on-premises Private Cloud. You may also have… MBA degree and prior experience in a senior product manager (IC) role.
