About the role Role Responsibilities: Providing timely, proactive and practical legal advice to the businesses in Taiwan in accordance with applicable laws and policies. Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a broad range of business documents including tenders, sale and purchase agreements, and other contracts that arise from the day-to-day operations of the business. Monitoring and advising on regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to the business and escalating issues as needed. Handling and advising on corporate governance matters. Providing internal training on applicable regulatory and compliance requirements, as well as general legal and risk management issues. Managing claims and disputes, and liaising with external counsel, regulators and internal stakeholders as necessary. Support strategic projects and initiatives, providing legal input to enable business growth. Handling any other matters to be assigned by the Senior Manager - Legal, HMT. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or above in Law. License to practice in Taiwan, with 3-5 years’ experience . Admission in other jurisdiction is a plus but not required. Fluency in English and Chinese (written and spoken) is essential. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with sound business judgment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapt to changing business conditions, and learn quickly.
