Role: OT Security Engineer Location: Monterrey, Mexico Full/Part-time: Full-time Hybrid Scheme | 3 days on-site and 2 days working from home. About the role As an OT Security Engineer , you will play a critical role in safeguarding the technologies that operate and control Carrier’s industrial environments. Your work will ensure that our manufacturing processes remain safe, reliable, and resilient against cyber threats. By designing and implementing robust security controls across OT networks and assets, you will help protect physical processes and support modernization initiatives that drive operational excellence. Key Responsibilities As an OT Security Engineer, you’ll be responsible for: Designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls for OT/ICS environments, including SCADA, PLCs, HMIs, and plant networks. Developing OT security architecture aligned with industry standards such as the Purdue Model and ISA/IEC 62443. Supporting secure network segmentation between IT and OT, including firewalls, DMZs, and remote access solutions. Deploying and maintaining OT monitoring tools (e.g., Nozomi, Claroty, Dragos) to detect threats and anomalies. Performing risk assessments and vulnerability management for OT systems, including legacy equipment. Requirements We are looking for people who are detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about cybersecurity in industrial environments . If this is you, get in touch. As a minimum you must have: 3–7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, industrial control systems, or OT engineering. Hands-on experience with ICS/OT technologies such as SCADA systems, PLCs, or industrial automation networks. Understanding of OT networking concepts (Modbus, DNP3, OPC, BACnet, Profinet, EtherNet/IP). Familiarity with OT security frameworks such as ISA/IEC 62443 or NIST 800-82. Experience with OT security platforms (Nozomi, Dragos, Claroty). Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have: Experience implementing segmentation, firewalls, and DMZs for OT networks. Knowledge of industrial protocols and vendor equipment (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Emerson). Incident response experience in ICS environments. Ability to write or review PLC logic (Ladder Logic, Function Block, Structured Text). Certifications such as GICSP, GRID, ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Certificates, CCNA/CCNP, or CISSP.
