About this role: The Senior Counsel, General Legal, provides general legal advice for Carrier’s Residential HVAC business reporting to the Director, Legal, North America Residential Solutions in the Climate Solutions Americas business segment. Key Responsibilities: Provide legal counsel and service on broad range of areas to Carrier’s North America Residential Solutions business clients concerning legal rights, obligations, and privileges of corporations to ensure that corporate interests are well-represented. Negotiate contracts with suppliers, customers, and strategic partners related to Carrier-offerings and ensure compliance with Carrier’s overall strategy and policies. Support strategic, forward-looking projects related to technology, regulatory, and go-to-market. Manage claims processes, prelitigation matters, and dispute resolution. Coordinate with internal Centers of Excellence to provide full-scale legal support for business. Advise business on compliance risks and assist in closing compliance gaps by providing practical training and implementing corporate policies and procedures.
