The Foundation We are the largest nonprofit fighting poverty, disease, and inequity around the world. Founded on a simple premise: people everywhere, regardless of identity or circumstances, should have the chance to live healthy, productive lives. We believe our employees should reflect the rich diversity of the global populations we aim to serve.   We provide an exceptional benefits package to employees and their families which include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage with no premiums, generous paid time off, paid family leave, foundation-paid retirement contribution, regional holidays, and opportunities to engage in several employee communities.   As a workplace, we’re committed to creating an environment for you to thrive both personally and professionally. The Team The Maternal, Newborn, Child Nutrition & Health (MNCNH) Team is responsible for an end-to-end approach focused on product discovery, development, introduction, and scale of novel and existing high impact products for women, adolescent girls, and children in low-resource settings. Our approach targets underlying biological vulnerability and seeks to intervene as early as possible in the life course. We fund development on a core set of products that range in type (including drugs, foods, microbes, risk algorithms, and devices), technical risk (from novel concepts to product substitutions), and development phase (from early discovery to late-stage efficacy testing and implementation research). We also support launch and introduction planning of a subset of our core products that are further in the development process to accelerate country adoption and uptake in the global architecture and drive impact at scale. These products target pregnancy risk, maternal undernutrition, prematurity, neonatal encephalopathy, child wasting, child neurodevelopment and maternal morbidity. Our team is multidisciplinary and includes physician scientists with backgrounds in obstetrics and pediatrics, perinatal epidemiologists, and professionals in neurodevelopment, nutrition research, engineering, global health, strategy development and industry-experienced market and commercialization experts. We emphasize in-country partnership to integrate the local context into research and development. Your Role The Senior Strategy Officer, MNCNH Data (SSO), plays a critical support role in helping the Maternal, Newborn, Child Nutrition & Health (MNCNH) team translate data into actionable strategy, clear communications, and decision-support tools. These data-led insights help inform our strategic approach to accelerate product development, introduction, and country impact. Reporting to the Deputy Director, Epidemiology, Surveillance & Data, the officer will contribute to the team’s measurement and learning efforts through project management of data initiative efforts, data synthesis, curation of analytic outputs for visualization, and distillation of insights into compelling presentations and written products for internal and external audiences.   This role will support the operationalization of strategic learning by assisting with the development of dashboards, tracking tools, and strategy documents; preparing materials for leadership engagement; and contributing to cross-team coordination on measurement-related priorities. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management, analytical, and communication skills, curiosity about the intersection of data and strategy, and a collaborative working style. What You’ll Do Strategy Development & Business Planning Contribute to strategy development initiatives related to data integration and application of AI to augment impact potential. Identify opportunities for and facilitate uptake of AI applications to operational processes for our centralized data function. Facilitate inclusive and effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders to support strategy development and alignment. Create strategic materials, presentations, and updates for MNCNH and broader foundation leadership. Support the measurement of progress toward goals, including defining indicators, milestones, and learning questions aligned with team strategy. Partner with team leadership to link strategic ambition to operational business planning.   Measurement & Data Integration Support data initiatives through project management to improve tracking of product development and introduction progress and synthesis and curation of data and insights. Collaborate with grantees and internal data scientists to support effective use of data in strategic decisions. Help translate data into insights and identify opportunities for investment, course correction, or acceleration.   Program and Team Enablement Contribute to shaping an integrated strategy/data function within the program. Support internal coordination to break down vertical silos and accelerate discovery, development, and downstream uptake of key products. Promote inclusive team culture by modeling collaborative behaviors and surfacing issues transparently and constructively. Your Experience MBA or Master’s degree in quantitative field. Prior experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm. Focus on global health preferred. Demonstrated experience leading complex strategy projects and using structured problem-solving approaches. Strong communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and tailor messages to senior audiences. Familiarity with LMIC contexts and working with data, research, and/or health systems in low-resource settings is a plus. Interest in AI and aptitude for tracking relevant applications within the evolving field.  Demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and integrate data and strategy perspectives into cohesive plans. Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, especially in cross-cultural and multi-stakeholder environments. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving landscape with shifting priorities.
