A Financials Strategist at Workday is about advocating our innovative Financial Management and ERP solutions in the market and transforming finance functions with our clients. If you have in-depth knowledge of Financial Management systems, then this may be the best career move you could hope to make. We have invested in the Japan market and have been growing rapidly for the last several years. The role is brand new, and you can be part of our exciting journey About the Role Finance Transformation:  Assessing the readiness of Finance Transformation with Workday in Japanese companies and proposing a finance transformation roadmap. Supporting Sales Activities:  Working closely with sales teams and providing advice on Sales Manager forecasts based on readiness assessments. Winning Proposal:  Building rapport and sharing the Workday vision with champions at prospects (those eager to transform their financial systems) and proposing winning scenarios to them. Financials Expertise:  Leverage in-depth knowledge of Financial Management, accounting practices, and ERP systems in Japan to advocate for our innovative cloud-native Financials solutions. Community Building:  Cultivate and lead a community of Finance professionals, CFOs, and industry experts, providing valuable insights into the unique financial landscape in Japan. Networking:  Forge and nurture relationships with influential Finance thought leaders and potential strategic partners in Japan. Training and Workshops:  Deliver comprehensive training sessions to educate internal and external stakeholders about our cloud-native Financials solutions and their relevance to the Japanese market. Metrics and Reporting:  Implement robust metrics to measure the impact of evangelism efforts, providing data-driven recommendations for optimization. Collaboration:  Work in close partnership with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure strategies align with overarching business goals. About You Finance Transformation:  Experience in supporting and implementing global finance transformation for Japanese companies by integrating global accounting policies, organizations, and processes (experience in ERP evaluation or selection is a plus). Expertise in Japanese Finance Practices:  In-depth knowledge of accounting standards (J-GAAP/IFRS), regulations, and compliance specific to the Japanese market. Assessing Readiness:  Assessing readiness for global finance transformation at multinational companies and making proposals to CFOs and senior management. Creating Pipeline:  Finding precise opportunities among prospects and creating a strong pipeline through evangelizing finance transformation. Deep Financials Knowledge:  Strong understanding of Financial Management principles, technologies (ERP/Fins), and their application within the Japanese context. Networking Skills:  Strong networking abilities with a proven track record of building relationships within the Japanese Finance and CFO community. Content Creation:  Ability to create diverse, impactful content tailored to the Japanese finance market. Analytical Skills:  Proficiency in data analysis to derive actionable insights for refining evangelism strategies. Adaptability:  Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and dedicated to continuous self-improvement. Team Player:  Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across different geographies.
