We invest in Asian companies to grow with them and to help them to become better investors. Job Description This position leads the Business Development effort, for the allocated sector/geographic responsibility, representing AAMs full suite of products. The objective is to grow the market share of Aberdeen’s mutual fund distribution business via the direct sales channel. Job Description   1. Strategic Sales Leadership Design and implement forward-looking sales strategies to grow assets under management (AUM) across Private Fund, Provident Fund, and Mutual Fund segments. Identify and capitalize on market trends, client behaviours, and competitive dynamics to shape strategic direction. Lead the development of targeted campaigns and value propositions tailored to high-net-worth individuals, corporate clients, and retail investors. Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Compliance, and regional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards.   2. Client Relationship Management Oversee strategic client relationship management to ensure satisfaction, retention, and long-term engagement across all fund types. Support team members in managing complex client portfolios and high-stakes negotiations. Promote a client-first culture that emphasizes trust, transparency, and customized investment solutions.   3. Operational Excellence & Compliance Ensure robust reporting of sales activities, pipeline development, and portfolio performance across all fund categories. Maintain rigorous operational discipline, risk management, and compliance with local and global regulatory frameworks. Drive continuous improvement in sales governance, documentation, and audit readiness.   4. Business Growth, Innovation & Strategic Planning Contribute to the firm’s strategic planning by delivering market insights, client feedback, and competitive intelligence. Explore and implement new distribution models, digital engagement tools, and strategic partnerships to scale the business. Lead transformation initiatives to enhance sales processes, client onboarding, and service delivery efficiency. Act as a key voice in shaping the future of abrdn Thailand’s client engagement and product distribution strategy.   Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., IC License) preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience in financial services, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or team management role. Demonstrated success in strategic sales leadership, client relationship management, and business development across Private Fund, Provident Fund, and Mutual Fund products. Strong knowledge of investment products, financial markets, and regulatory frameworks in Thailand.   Key Competencies Strategic Leadership – Ability to set vision, drive execution, and align team efforts with long-term business goals.
