Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is searching for Principal/Sr Principal Software Engineers (multiple positions) to join the Global C2 Solutions Business Unit Business Unit in support of our programs, in Huntsville, AL. The selected candidates’ task encompasses the following: Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with systems engineers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, and development. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; Ensures software standards are met. These positions are 100% onsite in Huntsville, AL. This role focuses heavily on Java and Object Oriented development (not web development, etc.) We are open to interviewing candidates who do not yet hold a clearance, but who have the ability to obtain/maintain one. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
