Responsibilities include: Coordinates with Design Engineering on design and manufacturability issues. Coordinates with production on day-to-day activities. Assists in the resolution of processing issues. Evaluates discrepant hardware Research and evaluate commercially available tools and equipment to support manufacturing processes. Troubleshoots existing processes to improve safety, quality, cost, and efficiency. Incorporates engineering changes on work in process. Work in a team environment and function as a leader in mechanical and design solutions to process engineering problems. Participate on teams to help make necessary improvements and changes to all process related issues in the Operations department. Basic Qualifications:  A bachelor’s degree in engineering with 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably engineering OR a master’s degree in engineering with 3 years of experience. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must be able to obtain clearance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and Explosives as an Employee Possessor. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment Demonstrated hands-on mechanical ability Preferred Qualification: Experience or coursework with electrical or electro mechanical assembly Experience or coursework in production environment Experience or coursework in Surface Mount Technology Circuit Card Assembly Experience or coursework using SPC and Six Sigma techniques This position falls under a Federal Explosives License issued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) for this location.  Candidates hired into this role will be required to complete and submit an Employee Possessor Questionnaire to ATF for approval to be a possessor. Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
