We're seeking someone to join our Quantitative Strategist (Strats) team as a Vice President in Treasury to develop, maintain and operate Treasury related models. In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is a Vice President position within our Quantitative Strategists Job Family which maintains, implements, develops and documents models for the business units and Treasury. What you'll do in the role: - Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm - Responsible for and lead a significant set of deliverables, leveraging advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment - Proactively identify emerging risks in individual and department work and contribute to strategies for mitigating them - Act as a role model and culture carrier; Embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards - Developing and supporting P&L, Risk, Net Interest Income (NII), Liquidity models, hedge accounting, funds transfer pricing and Monitoring tools - Working closely with the Business, IT, and model control What you'll bring to the role: - Advanced understanding of Treasury, industry, and competitive environment and technical skills, including risks and key regulations relevant to the division - Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and acknowledge efforts of team members - Ability to articulate risk and impact to various audiences, and create plans to mitigate those risks - PhD/Masters degree in Statistics, Finance, Mathematics or Physics preferred - Strong programming skills: At a minimum, this position requires programming in scala, KDB/Q, or C++. - Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary - At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role {E What you can expect from Morgan Stanley} [RECRUITER to add standard global paragraph] {F Regional insertions e.g., Wage transparency, EEO, Regulatory etc.} [RECRUITER to insert standard disclosures for location and division where applicable] WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY: We are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 89 years. Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $165,000 and $225,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
