Job Description:     Responsible for architecting enterprise storage and data solutions that achieve customer business outcomes by translating strategic business requirements into comprehensive data strategies, then deriving optimal hardware and software architectures. This role combines technical presales expertise with consultative business analysis capabilities, enabling the architect to serve as a trusted advisor for organizations undergoing digital transformation and AI modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate brings deep storage infrastructure knowledge enhanced by data analytics and data science perspectives, enabling them to design storage solutions architected for modern AI/ML workloads, advanced analytics, and data-driven decision-making. This position requires the ability to move seamlessly between business strategy discussions with C-suite executives and technical deep-dives with infrastructure teams. How you will make your mark: Conduct consultative discovery sessions to understand customer business drivers, data challenges, and strategic technology initiatives Translate business requirements into customized data strategies and derive detailed hardware/software specifications ensuring traceability from business need to infrastructure Evaluate AI/ML and analytics requirements, designing storage architectures optimized for machine learning workloads, unstructured data, and inference patterns Design enterprise storage solutions (SAN/NAS, object storage, hybrid/multi-cloud, data lakes, lakehouses) that directly support the data strategy Build hardware recommendations based on data workflow analysis, performance requirements, and cost optimization for modern analytics and AI workloads Demonstrate expertise translating data infrastructure needs into storage capacity, throughput, latency, and resilience specifications Communicate solution value propositions to executives and technical teams, articulating ROI, TCO analysis, and business impact Participate in solution configurations, demonstrations, and proofs-of-concept aligned to customer requirements Collaborate with sales teams to develop value propositions and identify opportunities within assigned accounts Develop and nurture relationships with customer technical teams and executives About you: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent; Advanced degree in technology, data science, or business administration preferred 5–10 years of technical experience in IT with focus on technical consulting and solution selling 3+ years in data-related roles (data analyst, engineer, scientist, architect) OR demonstrated expertise in designing data systems and analytics platforms 2+ years architecting or consulting on storage infrastructure, data platforms, or enterprise data management solutions Industry certifications (storage vendor, cloud architecture, data engineering) strongly preferred #Li-Hybrid Additional Skills: Accountability, Accountability, Active Learning, Active Listening, Assertiveness, Bias, Building Rapport, Buyer Personas, Coaching, Complex Sales, Creativity, Critical Thinking, Cross-Functional Teamwork, Customer Experience Strategy, Customer Interactions, Design Thinking, Empathy, Financial Acumen, Follow-Through, Growth Mindset, Identifying Sales Opportunities, Industry Knowledge, Intellectual Curiosity (Inactive), Long Term Planning, Managing Ambiguity {+ 6 more} What We Can Offer You: Health & Wellbeing We strive to provide our team members and their loved ones with a comprehensive suite of benefits that supports their physical, financial and emotional wellbeing.
