Job Description We are looking to hire an Executive Director to lead our marketing efforts in Asia (excluding India) with a focus on Hong Kong, China, Japan, Singapore and Australia. The role is pivotal in translating global priorities into regionally relevant marketing programmes and campaigns, ensuring alignment with the Firm’s brand and business objectives. The role will appeal to a proactive individual who enjoys variety and is curious about all aspects of marketing. The successful individual will collaborate with global colleagues across a variety of marketing disciplines including brand, content, social media, sponsorships, events and web, with Corporate Communications, as well as a variety of regional business stakeholders. The role dual reports to the Head of International Marketing in London and Head of Corporate Affairs for Asia in Hong Kong. Key Responsibilities Cultivate relationships with internal business partners to understand the regional business strategy, priorities as well as competitor activity; synthesize and relay this information to colleagues in London and New York. Lead the implementation of Morgan Stanley’s marketing strategy and activities in Asia Pacific, ensuring regional programmes reflect global priorities while adapting to local market needs, regulations and cultural context.   Act as a primary point of contact for regional business stakeholders in a marketing advisory capacity, including strategy, production and implementation. Act as a brand custodian, work to facilitate the roll out and implementation of our brand design system; coordinate reviews and support brand governance. Manage the relationship with internal creative teams and local agencies to brief and deliver on-brand creative assets for external and internal channels. Partner with event, content and social media teams to deliver content assets from regional flagship conferences and marquee events that reinforce our people, insights and expertise. Manage and facilitate content, creative and copy for Firm and Executive level social media channels. Manage sponsorships including brand assets and approvals, client and employee activations to maximize benefits. Deliver a marketing plan for Japan that includes content, creative, digital experiences and Executive level social media presence. Act as a brand ambassador and champion all Firmwide Marketing activities regionally; help advance specific projects including digital, web governance and research. Monitor the impact of all marketing initiatives, providing regular regional insights and updates to global stakeholders to contextualise needs and nuances of the region. Qualifications, Skills & Requirements Minimum of 12 years’ experience in strategic marketing, brand strategy, digital marketing, ideally within financial services or other blue-chip organisations. Bachelor’s degree. Proven experience working internationally across borders (in the Asia region would be desirable), with an appreciation of cultural and regional nuances. Demonstrated ability to build and nurture cross-functional relationships globally and provide strong people management and leadership to nurture a high-performing, collaborative team. Fluent in spoken and written English; Chinese language skills are desirable. Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior management and drive alignment across teams. Experience managing campaigns and initiatives, including creative development, paid media, social media and sponsorships. Proactive, creative self-starter with a ‘can do’ attitude; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt/reprioritise accordingly. Strong attention to detail and commitment to thoroughness and accuracy. Experience with and interest in AI.
