Job Description: Business Overview As a member of the Rakuten Group FinTech Group Company, Rakuten Payment aims to realize a cashless society by developing businesses centered on payment and marketing services. Through its main services such as "Rakuten Pay (app payment)," "Rakuten Edy," and "Rakuten Point Card," it provides users with a convenient and secure payment experience. 　 Department Overview We also function as a CoE (Center of Excellence) organization within the FinTech Group Company, responsible for promoting AI. We leverage AI technology to create value for FinTech services through the following activities: - Promoting AI adoption within the company through AI education and training. - Improving operational efficiency and creating new value through the planning and execution of AI projects. - Building and optimizing a data infrastructure that can be used across FinTech. Position: Why We Hire We are looking for a data scientist to work with us to accelerate the promotion of AI for FinTech services. 　 Position Details The scope of AI applications in FinTech services is wide-ranging, including behavior prediction, scoring, and fraud detection. Data scientists are responsible for contributing to the business by providing the best solutions for these various situations while utilizing tools such as AutoML. In Rakuten's fast-growing FinTech service, you will be able to create added value and realize the impact of AI. 　 Work Environment We promote projects in collaboration with project managers and members who are primarily responsible for the development of data processing-related systems 　 Mandatory Qualifications: - At least 3 years of experience in machine learning, data analysis, data visualization, or related development. - Familiarity with typical machine learning algorithms. - Understanding of typical evaluation methods for machine learning models. - Programming skills (Python, R, etc.) - Knowledge and experience with SQL and databases. - Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others both inside and outside of the team. 　 Desired Qualifications: - Experience leading teams of developers and analysts. - A keen interest in new technologies and tools. - Experience in practical application of data- and AI-enabled systems and services 　 Others Information: Additional information on Location NBF Shinagawa Tower 　 Additional information on Secondment This position is employed by Rakuten Group, Inc. and seconded to Rakuten Payment, Inc.
