Job Description: Job Description: Business Overview Rakuten Mobile officially launched its full-scale service in April 2020 as the fourth MNO (Mobile Network Operator) approved in Japan in 13 years, with the aim of providing high-quality mobile communication services at reasonable prices. In February 2025, it surpassed 8.5 million subscriptions as an MNO and is experiencing rapid growth. The company also began offering full-scale services to corporations in January 2023. Rakuten Mobile is a core business undertaking large-scale investments to drive the future growth of the Rakuten Group, and it is attracting significant attention both domestically and internationally. Department Overview This organization is the department responsible for providing mobile services to corporate clients. Within this department, you will be responsible for building new service operation flows, improving existing operations, and managing the vendors who execute those operations. You will participate in the business as a core member for future business expansion, aiming to achieve the No. 1 carrier status. The Operation Design Group is responsible for a wide range of tasks, including operation improvement, external system development, and new service design. This is a rewarding role where you design operations to ensure efficient execution of tasks while maintaining quality and adhering to laws and regulations, and then implement them in the field. You will gain a broad range of business-related knowledge, including the flow from service delivery to payment, systems, legal matters, accounting, and the creation of proposal documents. Position: Why We Hire As the number of mobile lines for Rakuten Mobile increases, acquiring contracts for Rakuten Mobile's core corporate mobile lines and solutions has become increasingly crucial. We will promote improvements in the quality and efficiency of operations supporting the corporate business. Position Details The Operation Design Group is responsible for three objectives: 1.Operation Improvement: Addressing changes in laws, regulations, and rules, as well as automating/systemizing manual tasks. 2.External System Development: Planning and operating the sales management and billing systems for solution services. 3.New Service Design: Designing the workflow and systems for new services and implementing them in the relevant departments. While we primarily work in the office to facilitate face-to-face communication, remote work is possible up to once a week. Flexible working hours are also available, allowing you to work in a way that suits your lifestyle. Except for some internal meetings and communication with the Tech team, the work is primarily conducted in Japanese. Work Environment The group consists of 10 members with a wide age range: 20s (5 members), 30s (3 members), 40s (1 member), and 50s (1 member). Each member leverages their expertise and knowledge, and we work on projects collaboratively, making it an easy group to communicate with. While many new graduates are assigned to this department, we also have members who joined us through mid-career hires, creating a team with diverse backgrounds.
