We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Chief Accountant working in our KONE Bulgaria office. This role performs a variety of accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control the organization’s financial resources and ensure that it complies with all relevant regulations, laws and reporting requirements. Main job responsibilities: Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, Computing and submitting VAT/tax returns/intrastat and all other requirements imposed by local authorities, Conducting and submitting annual statutory audit, Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close, Conducting and submitting YE financial statements, Ensuring compliance with local requirements imposed by law, Dealing with external auditors (Big 4), Dealing with tax, regulatory authorities, external service providers – accounting, payroll e.g., Provide leadership to build, maintain and develop accounting team Professional Requirements: 5+ years of relevant experience Fluency in English (both written and verbal) Work experience as a Chief Accountant, Senior Accountant, or similar role Proficient user of MS Office tools University degree in accounting, finance, economics or in a relevant field (preferred, not a prerequisite) Self-motivated and result driven personality, with strong project management skills High level of analytical skills and attention to procedures and guidelines SAP knowledge and experience is an advantage What do we offer?
