Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems sector is hiring a SLCM-N Sr. Staff Systems Engineer. This opportunity is available in Huntsville, AL and will support Advanced Programs (Nuclear-Armed Sea-Launched Cruise Missile). What you will get to do:   The SLCM-N program has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Systems Engineer to join the team supporting activities including use case development, requirements definition / allocation, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification & validation, and requirements traceability. Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following: Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifacts. Work with both technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature architecture content of large programs design. Help develop and incorporate the appropriate requirements for the system and ensure that they are properly represented in the model. Develop systems architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture (behavioral, structural, analytical). Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis. Develop unifying model techniques, procedures, and processes (for model development, tool integration, and team integration). Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 14 years’ experience; 12 years’ experience with a Masters’ degree in STEM; or 10 years’ experience with a PhD. Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years. Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) Clearance  8+ years of Experience implementing and using model-based systems engineering tools, practices, and methods. 5+ years of Strong program execution skills; demonstrated ability to meet program technical, cost, and schedule milestones. 5+ years Strong partnership/collaboration skills. Demonstrated ability to partner cross-IPT/cross-discipline within a team. Preferred Qualifications: Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope. Operational experience with Navy Strategic Weapons Facilities. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. Primary Level Salary Range: $184,100.00 - $276,100.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
