Department Overview In an era characterized by the increasing diversification of lifestyles and values, the challenges in marketing research are becoming ever more sophisticated and complex. We aim to provide new value across the entire customer marketing process through the composite utilization of this data. Within the Rakuten Group, expectations are growing for new data businesses that capitalize on our unique and vast data assets. In December 2024, we executed an organizational restructuring, integrating Rakuten Insight, Inc., Rakuten Insight Global, Inc., and the Super Mini Job   business. This move established a stronger synergy creation system for data utilization. Under this new structure, we aim to further accelerate the application of AI technology. Our goal is to achieve automation and sophistication in data analysis, enable real-time insights, and enhance the quality of decision-making support. Through these efforts, we strive to create new value that innovates corporate marketing activities. The department to which Marketing Research Consultants (MRCs) belong is tasked with the mission of fundamentally resolving clients' marketing challenges, leveraging Rakuten Group's overwhelming data assets and one of Japan's largest research panels. A key characteristic of this role is the ability to be involved in the entire marketing process, extending beyond just planning and proposing marketing research. This includes project management, collaboration with data analysis departments, support for advertising effectiveness measurement, and assistance in formulating brand strategies. We are also focusing on products that utilize AI. Furthermore, our client base is exceptionally diverse, ranging from operating companies and advertising agencies to other Rakuten Group companies, and even domestic and international brand enterprises. In recent years, we have also been concentrating on the global research domain, offering increasing opportunities to engage in projects targeting overseas markets, primarily in Asia, and participate in international research projects. Position: Why We Hire This position is being opened for our continued growth and expansion Position Details We provide marketing research solutions utilizing Rakuten Group's big data and Rakuten Insight's awareness data to "major manufacturers of food, beverages, daily necessities," "major media companies, major advertising agencies," "research firms, and consulting firms." Main duties 1. Hearings and proposal activities regarding marketing issues for clients in charge - In-depth sales to existing departments and data product proposals - Pure sales to new departments, introduction of capabilities, etc. *Part of the specific proposal content - Proposal for measuring the effectiveness of online advertising - Proposal for data linkage between client and Rakuten Insights - Proposal for profile analysis of owned media 2. Project management for orders, including submission, delivery, billing, and after-sales follow-up. - Overall management as the person in charge of the project in collaboration with the director and researchers - Estimates, schedules, and other general client support - Cost management of outsourcing expenses, acceptance inspection, administrative work related to billing, etc. 3. Promoting business improvement activities and creating systems that contribute to sales expansion/profit generation - Improve the efficiency of routine work and strengthen collaboration with directors and research teams - Promote activities and initiatives that contribute to improving the value of Rakuten Insight based on client needs, etc. Work Environment In this department, there are members who have not only advanced to management positions within the same team but have also taken on new challenges in different roles (e.g., Marketing Researcher, Data Analyst), based on their preferences and aspirations. Approximately 70% of our employees are mid-career hires, many of whom have transitioned from different industries or have no prior experience in this field. 　 Mandatory Qualifications: Skills required - Over 5 years of corporate sales experience - Have excellent communication skills (Able to explain with logical and organized sentences and speaking style.
