Maintain maximum machine production capability, and plant cleanliness. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Accountable for the safety of all employees for whom they are responsible through active engagement in safety activities and provides clear, consistent communication of safe work expectations. · Supports and investigates situations in which line/equipment stoppage occurs due to perceived, imminent safety risk. · Completes responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures, and applicable laws · Actively leads risk assessment activities for their area of responsibility by driving prioritized corrective and preventive actions to eliminate/reduce environmental, health or safety risks. · Lead all required meetings with safety (i.e. Pre-Shift, Department, Change Management, General Communication, Town Hall, etc.) · Completes incident investigations, root cause analysis and implements corrective actions accordingly in a timely and thorough manner. · Ensures the proper training and development of all assigned employees for whom they are responsible. · Sets goals for their organizational unit; achieves goals and ensures that all employees understand and work toward achieving goals. · Motivates and coach’s employees through good communication and frequent performance feedback. Identifies and coordinates additional training as needed. RESPONSIBILITIES and AUTHORITY: · Supervise and direct the Machine Maintenance Technicians. · Communicate activities with Manager and other members of the department. · Keep PM Maintenance Program up-to-date. · Requisition or procure parts required for repairs or projects · Inspect and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, electrical and mechanical systems on molding machines. · Seek training to stay current with job requirements. · Assume control of machine when a situation arises which has potential for personal injury or rapid deterioration of machine. · Perform any other duties as established by Molding Machine Maintenance Supervisor. · Responsible for ensuring the compliance with safety guidelines. · · Responsibilities and authority include assuring compliance with federal, state, government and/or any appropriate regulatory laws or guidelines. · Lead department in the MM manager's absence. · Ability to work with vendors. · Must be a journeyman or have 3 years’ experience and working to become a journeyman. · Able to troubleshoot over the phone with OEM support personnel. QUALIFICATIONS: · · High School diploma or equivalent. · Ability to supervise people. · Self-starter with eagerness to learn and take initiative. · Ability to read rulers, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments. · Ability to read, understand and troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic prints.
