Job Description: Department Overview The Information Security & Privacy Governance Department is responsible for group-wide Information Security Governance under CISO leadership. The AI Governance Management Section builds and operates a governance system to ensure the appropriate use of AI technology throughout the Rakuten Group and minimize risks. To address ethical and legal issues of AI Usage associated with AI technology's rapid evolution, we seek individuals who can collaborate with various departments to manage AI risk management programs. Position: Position Details As AI technology becomes more prevalent, there is a growing need to manage AI-related risks and ensure transparency and reliability appropriately. Rakuten Group is developing a risk assessment program for AI utilization and projects. The AI Risk Management Specialist operates the risk management program in response to the needs of business and development divisions. Furthermore, the AI Risk Management Specialist also supports the department head with executive reporting tasks, including formulating and executing program improvement plans and generating statistical information.   Responsibilities: Responding to AI Risk Assessment Applications - Receive and provide initial responses to AI risk assessment applications from each department. - As needed, verify application content, point out deficiencies, and collaborate with applicants. Conducting AI Risk Assessments - Conduct assessments based on applications from each department and subsequent Q&A. - Perform assessments based on evaluation criteria agreed upon with relevant departments. - Present risk mitigation measures to the applicant in response to risks surfaced during the assessment. - Work in conjunction with the applicant to manage risks by implementing the suggested mitigation measures. Inter-departmental Collaboration on AI Risk Assessments - Agree on risk evaluation criteria with relevant departments. - Respond to changing risk factors and collaborate with relevant departments. AI Risk Assessment Progress and Issue Management - Track overall progress and manage lead times in collaboration with relevant departments. - Prioritize cases and manage schedules. - Escalate issues when they arise, and consider and implement countermeasures. Compiling AI Risk Assessment Statistics and Reporting - Manage various data related to AI risk assessments. - Collect and analyze statistical data related to AI risk assessments, and prepare regular reports. - Visualize the overall status of AI risk assessments.   Proposing and Implementing Process Improvements - Formulate and implement improvement plans to streamline the AI risk assessment process. - Standardize and uniformize assessments. Mandatory Qualifications: - Basic PC skills in business (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) - Communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders - Experience in data and progress management - Basic knowledge of information security and privacy protection - Basic knowledge and experiences related to IT - English Language Requirements: Business Level (TOEIC 800 or higher) - Japanese Language Requirements: Native Desired Qualifications: - Planning and implementing generative AI and AI services - Information security and data governance operations - Knowledge of ISMS ISO/IEC27001 certification activities - Experience in improving and streamlining business processes - Basic knowledge of AI Risk based on International standard #corporate #informationsecurity #privacygovernance #technologymanagementdiv
