Internal Operations and Oversight Director, Internal Audit We're seeking a candidate with strong ability to analyse data and support automation of processes to join our Internal Audit Division as a Director (AVP-Equivalent) for the Internal Audit Internal Operations and Oversight team within the MSESE Group based in Frankfurt. The Internal Audit Division (IAD) drives attention and resources to vulnerabilities by providing an independent and well-informed view and impactful messages about the most important risks facing our Firm. This is accomplished by performing a range of assurance activities to independently assess the quality and effectiveness of Morgan Stanley’s system of internal control, including risk management and governance systems and processes. IAD serves as an objective and independent function within the Firm’s risk management framework to foster continual improvement of risk management processes. This is a Director level position within Internal Operations and Quality Control, which is responsible for efficient and effective functioning of the department, supporting the ultimate delivery of high-quality assurance services.​ What you'll do in the role: Support the Internal Audit coordination for regulatory and external auditor examinations, information requests, meeting preparation, and other ad-hoc requests Support the production, review, challenge and coordination of regulatory submissions, including content creation, messaging and tone Support the established processes and maintain databases to respond to information requests regarding Internal Audit coverage on a timely basis Support the adequacy and timeliness of remediation of regulatory and external auditor findings against Internal Audit Support the maintenance of the MSESE audit universe and facilitate completeness on an ongoing basis Support the production of quarterly and annual reporting of MSESE Internal Audit to management and supervisory boards Support the performance of controls within MSESE Internal Audit related to information safekeeping, adequacy of entitlements, outsourcing governance, business continuity planning, etc. What you'll bring to the role: 4 or more years of relevant financial services experience Ability to identify and analyze multiple data sources to inform point of view, and  enable and support automation with the aim to inform focus and views on risk Knowledge of EU27 regulatory environment including applicable regulations and regulatory areas of focus Strong understanding of audit principles, methodology, tools and processes (e.g., risk assessments, planning, testing, reporting and continuous monitoring)  Ability to ask meaningful questions, understand various viewpoints and adapt messaging accordingly A commitment to practicing inclusive behaviors Professional level English and German language skills required Relevant certifications (e.g., CIA, CPA, etc.) preferred WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY: At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
