The department has international culture created by excellent employees joined around the world and provides the cutting-edge data science. Following the strategic vision “Rakuten as a data-driven membership company”, AISSD is expanding our data activities across our multiple Rakuten group companies.   Position:   Why We Hire AI & Data Consulting Department (AIDC) leverages cutting-edge technologies, including AI and Rakuten Group's abundant dataset, to deliver consulting and project management services. We aim to solve complex business problems and are currently expanding our B2B operations within the mobile industry.   Position Details In this role, you will be actively involved in delivering solutions to our client companies through consulting and project management, utilizing our proprietary data, technology (Rakuten AI for Business), and client data. Your responsibilities will include: - Identifying use cases based on client requirements and proposing the optimal AI solution - Defining business requirements customized for each client - Communicating these requirements to our data scientist and data engineer teams, while managing project progress. Mandatory Qualifications: - Strong understanding of the data science field, particularly in generative AI and LLM. - Familiarity with algorithms and evaluation metrics commonly used in machine learning. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in Japanese. - Experience in resolving business issues within your own company or client organizations through data analysis. - Proven project management experience, including progress management and other PMO activities. - Experience in proactively driving projects by involving a broad spectrum of teams, such as sales and data science teams. - Proficiency in creating project documentation using tools such as PowerPoint.   Desired Qualifications: - Passion and understanding of data, data analysis, and the creation of business value using data. - Ability to work independently and autonomously across multiple teams and functions. - Strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and leadership skills. - Ability to solve problems, think strategically, and design hypotheses. - Strong analytical skills, with experience using programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R) and tools or solutions (e.g. DataRobot). - Experience in a business consulting firm. - Experience working in a company or department specializing in data analysis.
