Job Description: Business Overview The Rakuten Group's basic management philosophy is to "empower" people and society through innovation. Department Overview Your assignment will be to the Local Sourcing Section within the Procurement Operations Department of Rakuten Group, Inc. The Procurement Operations Department is responsible for the overall procurement operations across Rakuten Group. Within this department, the Local Sourcing Section plays a specialized sourcing role, leading supplier selection and negotiation in collaboration with various business divisions. Position: Why We Hire Responsibilities include the procurement of device products (e.g., smartphones) and managing their delivery and inventory within the Local Sourcing Section. Position Details - Device Procurement and Cost Management. - Negotiation of business condition and conclude procurement contracts. - Optimize Device Spend, and implement Cost Saving initiatives. - Build relationship with key suppliers. - Strengthening delivery/inventory management. - Quality improvement (ensuring stable supply of high-quality products). Work Environment Procurement Operations Supervisory Department: Around 80 people Mandatory Qualifications: - More than 3years experience in Purchasing or Procurement function. - Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. - Adaptability & Flexibility to Changes: Ability to respond promptly and flexibly to changes in market conditions and unforeseen circumstances. Furthermore, a proactive mindset to adapt seamlessly to our company's culture, new operational processes, and organizational structures, viewing change as an opportunity for growth. - Japanese Language Capability (Native or JPLT N1). Desired Qualifications: - Experience in purchasing and procurement of devices and electronic components. - Experience in supply chain management (SCM). - Experience in Contract negotiation and RFP/RFQ. - Experience in Global Procurement. - Individuals with a track record of using business English. - Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers. - Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct cost analysis and market research to develop optimal procurement strategies. -Experience in corporate planning and project management Other Information: Additional information on Location Rakuten Crimson House #corporate #procurement #OperationalImprovement #operationdiv
