Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr Principal Software Engineer to work on-site at Schriever SFB, near Colorado Springs, CO for our Front Range Operations and Sustainment Team (FROST) program. We Liaison with the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and Satellite Control Network (SCN) to support our Front Range Operations and Sustainment Team (FROST) program, and to provide satellite support services to our mission critical customer.  FROST conducts real time on-orbit support, launch ascent support and End-of-Life operations for all NOPS (NRO Operations Squadron) missions.  Northrop Grumman is seeking Spacecraft Operations Technician 2 or 3 to work on-site at Schriever SFB, near Colorado Springs, CO for our Front Range Operations and Sustainment Team (FROST) program. We Liaison with the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and Satellite Control Network (SCN) to support our Front Range Operations and Sustainment Team (FROST) program, and to provide satellite support services to our mission critical customer.  FROST conducts real time on-orbit support, launch ascent support and End-of-Life operations for all NOPS (NRO Operations Squadron) missions. This position will be based in Colorado Springs, Colorado at Schriever AFB . Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:      Test and perform on-console activities involving satellite operations during launch and early orbit support or long-term operations. Plan, set up, and configure ground communication support, develop, validate, and execute pass plan; monitor, and review telemetry, advise leads and/or management of failures and degradation, and advise leads or management of predefined recovery procedures. Establish voice, messaging, and data communications for multiple- satellite programs of varying priorities and classifications. Configurations and monitoring of displays for computer and network equipment during normal mission operations. Troubleshoot end-to-end communication issues. Multi-program coordination and scheduling using COTS software tools. Determination of any anomalous conditions and providing corrective actions as required. Generation of downtime reports and other associated documentation for operational outages. Support to various operations status, engineering review, and problem boards. Identification of areas of concern, issues, inefficiencies, and other non-value-added activities, as well as proven recommended solutions. This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3, depending on the candidate’s experience as laid out in the basic qualifications detailed below as well as the interview assessment. Basic Qualifications Level 2: High School diploma or equivalent; with 2 years of experience or  A Associate’s degree or higher Level 3: High School diploma or equivalent with 4 years’ experience; or A Associate’s degree with 2 years’ experience ; or A completed Bachelor’s degree TS/SCI CI Polygraph Experience conducting satellite operations with the Satellite Control Network in a real-time operations environment. Experience monitoring the activities of satellites. Familiarity with satellite ground systems, including hardware, software, and communications architecture. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, demonstrated by frequent and successful application of technical standards, theories, concepts, and techniques. Familiar with UNIX and Windows-based computer systems. Ability to create and follow standard processes and document results. Able to distinguish the difference between colors on a computer monitor. (specifically red, blue, and green). Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as overtime to support our 24 x7 mission readiness. Preferred Qualifications Proven teamwork and interpersonal skills. Ability to interface effectively with users, customers, management, and engineering personnel. Good verbal and written communication skills. Be comfortable using intercom systems, in addition to phone systems, as a frequent medium for communications. Primary Level Salary Range: $55,500.00 - $92,500.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
