Job Description: Business Overview Rakuten's Entertainment Content Business encompasses a range of services, including Rakuten Ticket (handling various event tickets), Rakuten Books, eBooks (kobo/MAGAZINE), and the TV streaming service. In 2023, the entertainment-related businesses were reorganized and integrated to create greater synergy. Department Overview Rakuten Ticket is Rakuten Group's ticket sales service, handling tickets for various events. We deal with a wide range of genres, including music, theater/stage performances, sports, and leisure facilities. We also provide ticket sales management systems to promoters and plan our own hosted events. As a core business within the Entertainment Content Business, our mission is to enhance the value of the entire Rakuten Group. The Pro Sports Group within the Ticket Sales Department handles tickets for various professional sports teams, including the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles and Vissel Kobe. The Sendai team is primarily involved in all aspects of ticket sales operations for the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles, from general ticket sales to game-day support. Position: Why We Hire We are seeking new talent for the Sendai team to further empower more customers and grow as a larger organization. Position Details You will be responsible for all aspects of ticket sales operations for Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles home games. Our main client is Rakuten Baseball, Inc. You will propose and promote various customer acquisition and sales plans, taking into account the perspectives of both the client and ticket buyers. Main Responsibilities - Ticket registration, creation, ticketing, sales status confirmation, and analysis using a ticket sales management system. - Setting up a booth at Rakuten Mobile Park on Eagles home game days and providing customer support at the ticket exchange and ticket counter. - Collaboration and meetings with other departments within the Rakuten Group, internal staff, system development departments, etc. Work Schedule During the season, work will be mainly on-site, including weekends and holidays (attendance is required for Eagles home games). Work Environment The ticket business has approximately 50 members, and the Sendai team consists of 6 members (50/50 gender ratio). Most of our members are mid-career hires with experience in the entertainment business, including those from competitors. However, many have also joined us from other industries with an interest in the ticket business, and we also have members with experience in marketing, new business planning, and system sales. Mandatory Qualifications: - Proficiency in creating documents using various Microsoft products. ‐ Japanese language proficiency at a conversational level or higher. Desired Qualifications: - Experience in event operations. - Experience in the entertainment business industry. - Experience in ticket management related to ticket sales. - Experience in system sales, such as SaaS for corporate clients.
