As part of our dynamic brand evolution and ambitious growth strategy, we’re seeking a Marine Underwriter based in the Netherlands to drive the expansion of our newly established Marine portfolio Your New Role:     Underwrite business following the business plan and regulatory requirements.  Support the development and delivery of the annual business plan of the department.  Contribute to meetings to share knowledge and best practices.  Promote the department, division, and company to maximise brand leverage.  Establish and strengthen relationships with stakeholders.  Continually develop technical knowledge and expertise.  Cooperate with Portfolio Manager to optimize and achieve plans Ensure accurate recording of insurance risks and compliance with regulations.     About you:      University degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience. Significant experience in underwriting marine risks (Cargo, Freight Forwarders Liability) and potentially Fine Art & Specie. Established relationships with brokers and intermediaries. Understanding of QBE’s risk appetite and underwriting rules for marine business. Good communicator and relationship builder, fluent in English and Dutch. Entrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative spirit.  Why QBE?
